Electron Transfer 2020

This project demonstrates Redox reactions in which electron transfer occurs according to the Activity Series. To explore reaction rates, users can alter concentration of ions, temperature, and the exposed surface area of metals. The concept of non-productive collisions is clearly illustrated, providing a mechanistic explanation for the relatively slow reaction rate of zinc metal compared to magnesium metal.
